Does MFP adjust the number of allowed calories per day as you lose weight automatically? Since the smaller you get the less calories you require.

Every 5lbs you lose (I think it's 5? Might be a different amount) it asks you if you want to reevaluate and does it then.0

I would keep your calories as high as you can while you're losing weight. If you're still losing weight at a good rate, I would not reduce them just because you lost a certain amount of weight. Keep your calories as high as you can so you have more room to make adjustments when you hit a plateau.0

And welcome to mfp. As an older guy with a sedentary job I want to say this can work for you if you are patient and stay with it! I never thought I would be able to lose once I was over 50 years old but sure enough I did. Best of luck to you!0
