How much of a difference does face fat make?

I have a fat face. When I look in the mirror, it's hard to recognize myself. People insist that I look the same as I did 40 pounds ago. When I feel my face, it doesn't feel like there's that much fat. Does it take very much? I can tell you that I'm constantly aware of the excess fat. When I lay on my back, I can feel it being pressed against my face, and putting weight on my ears. When I lay on my side, the side of my face that is pressed up against my bed feels huge. The side that isn't against the bed feels like it's being pulled on. I can feel it on my lips because my my cheeks are being pulled down, so my lips are too. How big of a difference can I expect as I lose weight? Will it do anything for my appearance?

It too will eventually come off (the extra fat in the face). You just have to keep dropping the lbs for it to happen. You also might want to make sure you are taking selfies every 10 or 20 lbs so you can see if there is a difference or not for yourself. You won't notice it otherwise, looking in the mirror daily! I think when you carry a lot of weight in your neck and face, it takes others longer to notice weight loss.0

I'm most looking forward to seeing my face slim down, I know exactly what you mean. I don't think I look like "me" anymore. We will get there, just be patient and keep plodding on. The selfie idea is very good0

I take face pics...23 lbs down and there is a noticeable loss of fat in my face. It is different for everyone though.0

For sure you'll lose fat on your face. As you reduce your body fat, it gets burned from everywhere. I certainly saw a huge difference in my face as I lost my 64 lbs. Keep working at it and you'll reach your goals. Time and consistency with exercise and proper nutrition will work for you.0

My aunt (and also sister) lost a ton of weight, and the fat loss on her face was the first thing I noticed. It is different for everyone I guess, but it usually seems to be an area, where people tend to slim down very noticable during the first stages of weight loss...correct me if you had other experiences
People who are not seeing you every day will see it quicker than you do. Take your time and enjoy a slim face once you are there0 -
I truly hate my fat face!0

Oh it will definitely come off! The 2 areas I dislike the most when I'm overweight are my abdomen and face. It's really hard to hide your face!0
