June Starters ~ June 14

I didn't see a thread yet so if I missed it please point me in the right direction!

I went a whole week without weighing myself and although I was frustrated with it at times, I loved not stressing about the stupid number! It actually kept me on track more because I didn't want to go a whole week and then blow it.

I did cheat a little this weekend, but hopefully I can get back on track today.

LW: 193.5
CWL: 191.0

You guys are going to hate me but I was actually a little disappointed with this. I guess I thought the 193.5 was a fluke, but the fact that I only lost 2.5lbs sort of proves that I had actually gained that much. Oh well, happy to see the numbers going down again. Also, it's almost my TOM so I'm hoping to see a lower number next week. Time to hide the scale again!

I really recommend our daily weighers try this for a week or two. Trust me I am addicted to the scale I step on it almost every time I'm in the bathroom but it was sooooo nice not to stress about it every second of every day!

I hope everyone has a great Monday!:flowerforyou:

I totally get that disapointment. lol I had the same thing last week! I had a great loss but It wasn't enough to cover my gain. lol

    Keep at it!!

Shannah~ I did the same thing.... I stayed completely away from the scale... That is a big deal with me when I'm seriously working on a loss.... I weighed last Monday in at 212... That was so hard to see with me being so close to busting out of the 200's before I hurt my ankle.... BUT, I'm not going there... It's not productive of me to sit and beat myself up....

Anyway, didn't even LOOK at the scale all week. I was excited to step on the scale this morning (shocker)!! Drum roll please....

I lost 2.8lbs! WOO HOO!!!!!! That's a big deal to me ... I good loss for me in a week is 1 lb... I just can't lose as easily as I used to... Something "magical" about the number 30... Once you pass 30 years old, the weight gets stubborn....

So, I weiged in at 209,2 this morning... I'm hoping that is a sign that this extra weight that I gained over the last couple months will come off faster... Here's hoping :drinker:

Shannah~ I so proud that you are seeing a downward trent again, also.... Even if it isn't the BIG NUMBER you were hoping for... I'm excited for you!!! :drinker:

Busymom~ Did you find a truck and a boy (this made me giggle) to get your FREE elipitical? <--- some people have all the luck!!

KJ- I did!!

My bf ended up helping me (he had plans that day but changed them) and we borrowed a friends truck. We got the eliptical and it's in our basement. The comp part is broken but my HRM tells me my cals so who cares for free???? (And I might be able to fix it anyhow!)

I'm so excited! No excuses now!! NONE!

    P.s. Awesome weight loss!!

Ok I have a formal apology! I haven't been keeping up on the SS or the WS. :frown: I've been lazy- but as of this week I will start again! It's not like I don't have time- I have tons of time!

So if all can post LW and CW that'd be great- that way I can't mess any of it up!

Happy Monday everyone! This is the week of my big exam, and I cannot wait for it to be over! I'm actually looking forward to getting it over with at this point. Mom's coming up on Wed. for support and shopping. I will finally be shopping to celebrate my one year with you gals on MFP! :)

Busymom- wish I had a free elliptical. That is so awesome that it works! Or rather, I wish I had room for an elliptical in my little 1 br apartment :ohwell:

Shannah- even though it's not what you wanted, it's still down. And it IS easier to lose it the second time around!

KJ- same for you...and you're close to the 100s again! You'll be there in no time. And did I see that Zumba was coming back to your gym? I remember you said how much you loved that, so it should be a big motivator!

I know you'll both do great! :drinker:

Hope everyone had a great week last week. Some nice weigh ins so far. Woohoo!

Shanna- if you look at the time posting of the 2 threads we posted at the same time. Great Weight loss. Don't be disappointed with that, at least you are headed in the right direction.

Kandy- great job. Nice to see things going a little better for you!

Busymom- yay to the elliptical. Glad you found a way to get it home.

Courtney- yippee to shopping! I am happy you are celebrating.

As for me I am stuck so I need to suck it up for last week. Not an ounce(either way so I am not complaining to loudly).

Hello ladies I woke up on Saturday and had bright red blood gushing out so I called 911 and they took me to the nearest hospital. The bleeding slowed a little but I was having contractions and I was 36 weeks so they decided to deliver her. Since we were both stable, the c-section was nice and calm. I had a spinal and everything went smoothly except they had to make a T-incision because when they were trying to get her out she turned and got stuck! So no VBAC for me She weighed 6lbs and 10oz. Her apgars were 7 and 9! She never had to go to NICU and she roomed-in with me the whole time! We just came home today and everything is going well. Now we have to pack up the house because we are moving on Saturday to our new house! Wow, what a week!!

Congratulations Yollie!!! She is beautiful. What a sweetheart. I am glad to hear everything went well, I am sure it was a bit scary and stressful. Too bad about the T- incision, but at least you and her are both healthy in the end. Take care of yourself, let everyone else do the work with the move. You focus on you and the babe.

I am so happy for you! :flowerforyou:

She is so sweet and precious. And that says a lot because lots of babies are cute in the first few days but don't get realllllly cute until a few weeks. She is already realllllly cute  And we are here to help rally you on with your 37 lbs!

Looks like were doing great this week...I got on the scale this morning and weighed 138 :noway:  Could be because I have NO food in my house, or because I met a boy who's really tall/thin/athletic and I've been spending a lot of time with him :blushing: Woohoo!!

No change for me this week. Still at 131.0 lbs.

Is anyone else finding they're not that bothered what the scale says anymore? Well as long as its not going up loads.
I think i'm quite happy with my weight now. yes i'd like to get down to 120lbs but i'm more concerned with increasing my fitness and toning my body.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Kaja- What was your weight last week? And no I'm still mildly obsessed with the scale. Although, once I hit 13- I might not be. I'm so jealous of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job!!!!!!!! :flowerforyou:

    LW- 151
    CW- 146.4

Loss of 4.6??? I'll take it and I'm excited but if I have a gain next week because my wii needs batteries or something I'm gonna be so upset!

I totally agree Kaja. I would still love to lose the last 15 or so but I am not miserable anymore so as long as I am maintaining I feel like I am doing fairly well. Keep it up. You are doing great.

Fantastic weigh in Busymom. Woohooo!! Probably that gain you recorded had a lot to do with water retention or something of the sort. Your hard work is paying off. Have fun camping this weekend (that is this weekend right??)

Thanks momto! I'm sure gonna try and keep it off! Yea it's this weekend that we're going camping It might be hard to resist the snacks but I'm going to combat it by riding our bikes into town at least twice a day. Unless I pass out. it's 17.5 miles one way.
