Fitness Tracker / Pedometer

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a fitness tracker/app that is:
- is in the lower price range ($40-50)
- syncs with MFP
- has an app that can run on Android 4.1
I got my girlfriend a Misfit Flash but she couldn't use it on her phone, only on her tablet. We got it connected and it uploaded the steps once, but then we could never get them to acknowledge each other after that. Worked fine, but since she couldn't install it on her primary device and it wouldn't update with MFP, we returned it.
Also tried a Striiv Band, which says it works on Android 4.3... Except it only works on a handful of devices. I couldn't get even get it to work on either her tablet or mine (despite mine being 5.1).
