Hello! My name is Lizette and I'm new to MFP. Well sorta new :D - I have a seemingly silly question. But I've read and can't seem to get a clear answer... But is it bad if I don't eat all of my calories?!

No... and yes! Its not really that simple. Some days it wont be bad, some days it will ;-) If you don't eat enough your body may decide its being starved and needs to go into emergency measures to lower your metabolism. You'll be super tired, think slower and generally not feel well. Thins can happen after only a few days of less than target eating. The other reason is that unlike a diet, MFP is really teaching you how to eat for the rest of your life. You can't starve for the rest of your life. So try to hit target, or a little lower; but not a LOT lower.

Feel free to add me as a friend.

I think that depends on your total caloric intake for the day and what your weight loss goal is. I don't think it's good to not eat back at least a majority of your calories if you're on a 1200 calories a day diet because 1200 isn't even healthy, especially for a long period of time. You need way more than that just to sustain your body if you're resting all day. What you should look up is your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and calculate that, there are calculators online to do it all for you, and THAT should be your intake. MFP is a bit flawed in the way that it isn't very flexible based on everyone's needs.
