Good Evening Ladies,
Lauryn - enjoy your birthday and great job on the excersice you are a amazing woman
Lorna - WOW look at you go great job
Amy - great job on maintaining, I am sure your week is full of fun and lots of work! I hope you have fun tomorrow.
AFM: Today was crazy but good, it was way to humid here for my liking but hey I grew up in CO we dont have humidity, so the dryer the better. But we had a fun day and my dd said dog for the first time she has been trying the last two days but could never get the G at the end so yippee small stepps are what it is about.
Tonight I did not eat good at all and trust me it was not worth it my stomach feels like a ton of bricks due to the 3 pieces of pizza, wish I would have skipped delivery and ate a frozen dinner. But hey it will be better tomorrow.
Tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy and warm, so we should get a walk to the park in and I hope to go to the movies with some girlfriends. Dont know what we will see but it should be fun.
Well better run, hope you all have a fabulous Thursday.

Well, last night a splurge (not really a binge). I have been exercising, walking, running, biking everywhere these past few days and I think either my body just needed calories or TOM is around the corner. I don't even feel bad about it. A little salt-swollen this morning. But it was so worth it since it was yummy goodness with my two handsome guys. Now today is a new day and I'm back on track.0

good morning...
everyone is doing a great job. i have read the posts.
so busy lately, and crappy eating to go along with it. it's a new day. lost power last night for about an hour. here in the south, summer, humid, heat index. not a good combo. it over loads the circuits. slept lousy. son started an armed watch last night. permanent station. which is good. he got his SLED card. means he can shot guns. in the navy he played with ordinance. such joy to have your kid play with things that go boom. he's thrilled. got an early morning email from my broker. he is so strange. doesn't produce what he says. long story with him. need to figure out what to do. stress.....need to get on my knees for a bit.
well, need to get some things done and than i am going to color my hair and read today.

Good morning!
Been SO busy at work...and that probably won't quit today! So, sorry I haven't been posting much. Last night was good. Got in my run with Kadence, had some leftover Chipotle pork loin with red potatos for dinner and then snacked on reduced fat graham crackers and some canteloupe! Finally might be getting that darned snacking under control! Stayed well within calories! And just realized that I have got my run in EVERYDAY since Sunday! YAY! But it is down pouring right now, so might be out tonight...but I don't feel bad about it at all! Maybe I'll do one of my videos! Glad to have some motivation lately!
Food plan today:
B-oatmeal, 1/2 c. skim milk, 2 c. coffee, 4 tbsp. sugar-free creamer
S-trail mix bar, banana
L-Leftover pork with red potatos, baby carrots, light yogurt
S-Pink Lady apple
D-Homemade turkey spaghetti! YUM!! With a green salad and spritzer dressing
S-Canteloupe and sugar-free popsicle
Exercise:
Hmmm...we shall just have to see...darn rain!
On another note, Kadence started her new daycare yesterday. Went well so far. I was worried since she is older now and knows that I leave...I didn't want her to get scared when she noticed I was gone. But went great so far! Which makes me very happy! She's such a good little girl...I really couldn't ask for a better daughter!
Well...better get to some work! Have a great day!0 -
Lula - wee all need those nights and that is great that you have such a good attitude about it, you deserve it. Keep up the great work.
Cathy - so glad you son got the job and seems to be headed on a better track. Take it easy today, enjoy yourself.
Kristin - so happy to hear your dd is doing so well at her new daycare that is great!!!! I know for parents is one of our biggest concerns.
AFM: This morning started out very crazy, my DH alarm did not go off, so he was late, OH and he did not shut the apartment door all the way so I woke up to the neighbor dog barking because our dog had got out and run down 3 flights of stairs and was hanging out scared in the hallway
Then when I got the dog in, mother mode set in and I had 2 seconds of OMG is our dd in her crib. BUT I WAS GREETED BY A BIG from our dd.
So all is now well with the exception of the crappy rainy weather outside, so no park this morning for us
But hey I guess we will have some fun indoor play time and get out the crayons. On a really happy note I get to see one of my gf from high school she is going to be in town tonight with her 3 kids so cant wait for that.
Well better run, shower to take, breakfast to eat and laundry to do!!!!

Cathy...Yes-we LOVE the jogging stroller! And Kadence does like it! She usually talks to herself while I run! It's so funny! Here's the deal with daycare: I don't know if you remember, but when I was pregnant I had set up daycare with this lady who lived really close to us. She seemed wonderful and we were lucky to get in with her. But then she called, about a month before I was due, and said that she had a mix up and it turned out she would not have a vacant spot for us. We were devastated! So I looked around and found another lady who was right by my work. She seemed great as well, however she had set up daycare in hopes for primarily teachers to use and was only following the school schedule, so she wasn't open for winter break, spring break or summer. So, we figured we'd start with her (since we didn't have a lot of time left) and then once summer came we would find another provider. Well...as luck would have it, about 2 months before this lady would be closing for the summer, I got a call from the provider I originally had set up with and she said she had an opening now if I was still looking. SO...I set up to start with her once the current provider closed for the summer, and then if all went well I would just continue with her more permanently. SO...we started with her yesterday and so far so good! Which is such a relief! Oh...and my mom is watching Kadence two days a week this summer to help save us some money...and Kadence loves spending some extra time with her grandma! So...sorry that was long, but wanted to explain...and you asked!
Well...time to grab some lunch! Hope you are all having a great day!0 -
Hello everyone! Just spent a bit of time trying to catch up with everyone. So much happening. I hope to have my laptop back this week... yea! This one still works but is really slow and sometimes just stops. It is frustrating.
Yes, I will be back for the next challenge! I had started seeing someone in February and it was going okay. Our lifestyles are just toooo different. He likes to hang out at the neighbor sports bar on the weekend evenings and I was doing so good losing weight and not drinking so much. It will kill weight loss. Plus he doesn't exercise nor does he like sports (?) WOW! I even tried to teach him how to play golf. Whew! He is happy with his lifestyle but it wasn't what i wanted so I just ended it. He doesn't understand why even though I explained it. He kept saying that i was seeing someone else. Wish I was, it would make this easier. But hey, not a connection. Life goes on.
Today entered in my food... so far, worked out, and am getting ready to work on my closet.

Quick question for all you perimenstrual ladies:
When do you usually have your weight gain? Week before, days before, or during? Just wondering. This is the first "normal" TOM I have had in awhile, and I'm not sure if my weigh-in this week was affected by my cycle (which finally started today).0 -
WOW what great news lula your "normal". you will probably have a change in what once was. i haven't had "tom" in many years.
i was going to mow the lawns this morning, but, darn it, it rained last night. geesh now i will have to maybe go to the gym or do a video. i want to do treadmill, but, it's in son's room and he's due home from work and he will go to bed. will have to get with DH and see if we can't move it out and somewhere where i can use it more. i had said i wasn't going to do it, but, didn't know he would be working 11 at night to 7 in the morning either. oh well.
nothing planned for today. since email from broker yesterday i have been in the blues. i didn't eat for it yesterday. first in awhile. i would have ate. but, it woouldn't hurt him, just me.
off to have another cup of coffee and watch a show, than will get my but in gear.

Good morning my friends!
Had another great night! I think my motivation is in full gear! It didn't end up raining...it was actually really sunny but SO humid. I decided running was not the best idea but still went for a 2 mile walk. Was dripping when I got home and poor Kadence was sweaty too! Definitely need to re-think that next time. Just not practical when it's that humid. Ate good and ended up under calories, but only by a bit! YAY!
Tonight I'm leaving work a bit early and Kadence and I are going to the beach with a friend! YAY! She LOVES the beach! I can't wait! Just hoping the weather treats us well, because it's kinda looking like it could rain again...hope not!
Meal plan:
B-Multigrain cheerios with skim milk, 2 c. coffee, 4 tbsp. sugar-free creamer
S-trail mix bar, banana
L-Leftover turkey spaghetti, baby carrots, light yogurt
S-Pink lady apple
D-Leftover turkey spaghetti with a green salad
S-Canteloupe, sugar-free popsicle
Exercise:
Probably not much since going to the beach strait from work. But planning on a run tomorrow morning!
OKAY...since I always fall off the darn wagon over the weekends, I'm setting myself to weekend goals!
1. Get in a run one day. This should be do-able. Just one day is all!
2. Only go over calories one day. This will be the toughy...especially since we have such a busy weekend.
3. Drink LOTS of water...more than usual!!! I need it to flush out the extra calories!!!!
This weekend is so busy! Tomorrow I have to get all my laundry and cleaning done in the morning. We have a huge housewarming/birthday party for my sister-in-law that evening...there will be all kinds of bad foods! I'm a little nervous! Portion control will be my savior! Sunday is father's day...we have breakfast at my in-laws which I'm sure will be anything but low-calorie and then head out to my parents. They are always a bit better, but my mom loves to bake so I'm sure there will be some sort of sweet stuff that will be tempting me! Argh!! It's going to be a bad weekend. I hate it!! I'm pretty sure Sunday will be my one day over in calories! I'm probably going to try and get my run in on Saturday morning and stay within calories that day. If I'm feeling super ambitious, maybe I'll get up early on Sunday and get in a run that morning also! Wish me luck!!
And if I don't get to talk to you again...have a FABULOUS weekend!!!!0 -
ended up doing the lawns anyway. didn't want to workout. if that makes sense. got a touch of heat stroke from the humid air. asthma flared it's ugly head while in the shower. had to just lay on the bed for a bit. still shaky. going to go eat lunch early and lay down for a bit. i didn't even finish the back weed eating. oh well,
back later0 -
Daily weigh in: 160.0
Down 0.2 from yesterday.
On the right track!!
Pizza birthday dinner tonight with my family. Two slices of pie, a salad, and chocolate ice cream sandwich dessert. I'm cool with it. Mini vacay this weekend. Lots of walking, probably lots of good food too. Just in moderation! No stuffing myself.
Went swimming again last night. I love a leisurely hour at the pool on a weeknight. Calm and peaceful, watching Kiddo enjoy the water. She is a water bug.
Thanks for all the early birthday wishes!!!! :smooched:0 -
not starting out to be a good morning.
son has a bad tire. i know he will want my car. i have an appt at 10 to look at some rentals. already put it out there. we shall see.

-
Happy Birthday Lauryn!!!! Congrats on being in the 150's! So proud of you.
Hope to get my laptop back by tuesday! This one has a mind of her own. LOL It is really hot and humid here in St. Louis. Heat index over 100 today. YUK!!! Got up early and mowed the front yard today while it was still in the 70's.
Still working on drinking my water! I don't know why it is soooo difficult for me. I like water. I don't drink soda, usually not any iced tea, so what is it. I guess I just need to take the time. Maybe make sure at the top of the hour I drink a glass. Who knows? Well hope to back on track soon. Have a great day everyone.

oh, boy another dreaded monday. don't want to see the scale tomorrow, it wasn't nice at all today. DH and i did nothing but sit around and eat yesterday. we ate out last night. i think i am holding so much water. we will see. it was up 4 pounds. DS brings home dunkin dounuts this morning. they are still sitting in the kitchen. i haven't had one, cause they are my worst enemy right now. told him they weren't aloud in the house. he says they followed me home. will do a workout today. maybe the gym or at home.
well, off to start the day.

Happy Birthday Lauren!
Hey Cathy! I am doing great. Had an adventurous weekend of lots of tasty food. But I only ate 1/2 of each meal. And school is goign great! I get compliments that I'm doing well and working hard. Not to mention I was trusted to do stitches in a lady's face near her eye, and I did a GREAT job. The head DOC was very excited. So, school is good over all
On a personal level: I've reconnected with a friend that I knew many years ago. Back when I was like 12 LOL. He was 2 years older and the brother of my friend. Apparently he had a crush on me backthen and wants to explore a relationship now that we are older. You'll have to forgive me because I am a hopeless romantic, BUT he is so amazing guys! I really enjyo his company. And though he lives in GA- where I am from- he came to visit me this past weekend and we had an amazing time. I spent time with his mom and everything. Good thing we already knew each other from when we were all kids. Just putting it all out there because I feel like I'm on cloud nine. and who knows what the future will hold. I may have found my husband. LOL. well, Maybe God found him. Cause I surely wasn't looking :P LOL Oh and BTW he is 6'4" and works out EVERY day. which is great because I love to workout too obviously! - I'm only 5'1 but we still look great together!
pl guys, back to work. Just wanted to let you guys in on my "fantasy Land" story. After dealign with such a draining, negative relationship for soo long, it feels good to know that there are men out there who can totally be amazing!
Have a great day!0 -
Morning gals!
Another Monday. I'm with you Cathy...not looking forward to the scale tomorrow! The thing is, I actually did pretty good this weekend. I got my run in on Saturday and only went a bit over on calories that day. Yesterday I did got over on calories, but I went for a nice walk with Kadence and was really feeling pretty good. But then I stepped on the scale this morning (which I do almost every day) and I'm up from where I was on Friday and Saturday! It's SO frustrating! I'm hoping it has something to do with TOM coming and maybe retaining some water. I have just been at this same weight now forEVER! ARGH!!! Oh well...I just keep on keepin on!
Plan for today:
B-Multigrain cheerios with skim milk, 2 c. coffee, 4 tbsp. sugarfree creamer
S-Trail mix bar, banana
L-1/2 c. cottage cheese, 16 reduced fat wheat thins, baby carrots, light yogurt
S-Gala apple
D-Chicken, green salad, and rice (I think)
S-Canteloupe, sugar-free pudding
Exercise:
Hopefully a run...it is supposed to rain...again...so sick of rain! And my mom is going to be over for a while after work, so it wouldn't be until after dinner that I get to go. Let's keep fingers crossed for good weather!
Well...off to do some work! Have a good morning!0 -
-
tiff....so HAPPY for you. life can be great when it's on his time.
kristen...weren't we here last monday too? facing that scale.
lauryn...here's to first. i still won't eat snails.
baha...glad you had a nice time.
lula...where is you?????
frogy...hows the move coming along
pdx...how did the iron fusion work?
lizzy...coming back next challenge?
kel...drinking enough water while working out in the summer heat?
if i missed you sorry, hope you had a great weekend.
i made some decisions this morning.
1) i am going to write down a rountiune and start sticking to it. i just go with the flow. i figure this way i will get use to working out daily (tiff!!). i need that. i need to begin doing other things too. i just put them off cause i don't feel like it.
2) learn to love me for me. it doesn't matter what i look like. it's how i feel. (church sermon yesterday). and my hubby loves me no matter.
3) taking one room at a time and throwing stuff out and cleaning up.
all in all cleaning up my life. inside, outside, and all around.
got to get back to my bedroom first one, just finished the master bath. now do i or don't i hang on to all these smaller clothes???? question of the day.

Wow such a busy weekend for so many!
Well I have to make this short because we have a very busy day ahead of us. Our weekend was really great, had a wonderful time with the family. We went and purchased new living room furniture which I love!!!!! It will be delivered to our new apartment next Saturday when we move in. I got all of my clothes packed and got to go through them get rid of some and box up those I hope to be able to wear again once I loose the weight. Sunday I worked and we went out to the farm for Fathers day, had some amazing steaks so I went over on my calories, but totally worth it.
Today is for packing, working out, and getting the dog to the vet, oh and fitting in a nap for Abby, so we can try to keep her on schedule during this crazy time. Oh I forgot I also need to get plates and change over a title on a car we have...... Hope to get it all done, before it gets to hot and humid on the day.
Well got to run, will check back tonight and do personals.
Have a great day ladies!0
