Hi,

I just wanted to share that I lost thirty pounds following this app. Then hit a spot where it became very difficult. I started eating less than what the app recommended.. It didn't work. A friend reminded me about starvation mode.. I increased my healthy calories and began to lose weight again. Your body needs food to lose weight.. Amazing!

    Isn't starvation mode a myth? I swear I heard that a couple places...But I'm glad upping your calories worked for you

    Yes it is...in the way people believe it. IE body holds onto fat/weight at low calories...no it doesn't.

    If tho you are in a VLCD for an extended period of time (not a couple weeks or even 3 months) there is a process called adaptive thermogenisis which will slow metabolism to stave off death...

    Typically if you stop losing weight for longer than 4 weeks and logging your food without using a food scale and correct entries you are eating more than you think...

    and there is no such thing as "healthy calories"

    Your body needs food to function.
