Upping calories to lose weight??

Hey guys I have heard alot of people talking about upping their calories for a day or two to lose weight when they hit a plateau on the scale, has anyone done this with any effectiveness?

    Did not work for me. Changing my diet around and changing up my workouts did.

    Upping for a day or 2 makes no sense to me.

    I was actually undereating and upped my calories...from 1500 to 1800...and have been eating this way for a couple of months now. I have been steadily losing weight and inches even faster than before.

    But it all depends on your personal numbers. If you are already eating at TDEE-15%, then upping your calories would be pointless. If you are eating 1200 when your TDEE is 2300, then by all means up those calories.

    "Upping calories" shouldn't be a blanket recommendation for everyone. It totally depends on your current intake, your current TDEE, and not anyone else's story of how it worked for them.
