Anybody read, The Schwarzbein Principle? If so, what were your thoughts? I think the author is brilliant. She is a doctor who specializes in endocrinology and promotes low carbs for weight loss (she not's like Atkins). She works a lot with diabetic patients in her practice.

Talks about "bad carbs," "toxic chemicals," and HRT.

    That's a big ol' "NO."

    How about the 'peachyfuzzle principle'?

Anyone who is trying to make money off of selling you "THE TRUTH ABOUT WEIGHTLOSS" is scamming you.

Never read it or heard of it.

That said...a couple general rules that I tend to follow in my life. They may not be perfect, but they're pretty effective 95% of the time...

    1. If it has to be sold via MLM, it's not worth it.
    2. Ignore Dr. Oz
    3. Don't eat yellow snow (lemon flavored sno-cones being the 5% exception to the rule)
    4. No one will purchase a book that says "eat less, move more. The end". Therefore diet books are usually written by quacks or at the very least authors who cherry pick data to support a contention that while possibly effective, obfuscates what is otherwise a very simple process.

    General rules cont...

    6. Beware of self-aggrandizing authors who assign their name to well known principles as if they own them.
