QUESTION ABOUT PROTEIN

MFP sets my protein to 129g a day. (Set 25% of my cals) I get no where was this even when I eat high protein foods. I calculated the formula using 0.36g per lb, and came in at half that, which I usually eat. Confused! How my should I be eating? Thank you!

2 whole eggs, can of tuna, protein shake, greek yogurt and cottage cheese is about 90g of protein. There is about another 12-15g depending on what I eat along with everything.

This still doesn't include protein during dinner (red meat, chicken, pork or fish), or the later meal I have after 9:00pm. I can easily get 35-40g for dinner and 25-30g for late night.

Perhaps do a search online for protein rich foods on a per serving basis?

0.36g per lb is sufficient, and since you know that amount works for you, you shouldn't feel obligated to change.

Not sure how much you should be eating but for some protein tips, I agree with jediguitarist. How I get in protein:

morning: one egg white (and a smoothie)
lunch: egg, tuna and some salad. toast and chicken breast, some cheese. greek yoghurt, etc.
dinner: chicken usually, or fish, red meat.

I sometimes snack on a Quest bar (adds 20 grams of protein to your diet) but I don't handle the bars well, too high in fiber for me
