What are the proper nutrition percentages I should be aiming for while trying to lose weight?

I am new to the my fitness pal community and would like to know what the proper nutrition percentages I should be aiming for while trying to lose weight and eat a balanced, healthy diet?

    depends on what type of exercise you are doing. just need to eat at a deficit and you will lose weight. I worked on total calories and when I got them where I needed to be then I started looking at my macros . Good Luck

    Take the nutrition percentages that MFP sets for you. I few percentages either way don't make much difference when losing weight.
