creating muscle

In the past 12 month I have been going to the gym on average 4 times a week
(I lift heavy weights, I do cardio)
I ran outdoors a little more than 600 km in total.
I cycled nearly 700 km last summer
My results: NOTHING!!!!!!
Throughout the year I lost and gained repetitively 5 pounds, lost and gained the same 1 pound of muscle.
I can’t seem to create more muscle mass no matter how hard I work at it!!!!! But I sure can create fat!!!!
Any suggestions????

Eat more. Muscle will not be built unless you're in a caloric surplus.0

Yah - when you gain those 5 lbs, it should be planned out so that you're eating the right foods and following the right program to actually create new muscle mass, as well as when you're dropping 5 lbs you want to maximize the percentage that is fat. I would recommend you check out the Gaining Weight forum, that's generally where the heavy lifters are conversing.0
