Anyone pregnant?

Before I get any flack about anything - I am in the obese category and I have been advised to only gain 11-22 pounds during this pregnancy by my dr. I am NOT trying to lose weight, but I AM trying to NOT gain over 20-22 pounds.
Having said that, I am having a hard time finding a good calorie range to follow. I am 5'6" tall and weigh 250. I can't find a good resource online regarding calorie intake. I just find things about how in the first tri, I should only eat 50 extra calories a day. Totally understandable since my peanut is the size of a peanut...but what cal range are we looking at? I normally eat about 1500 trying to lose.
I have been absolutely STARVING and am currently at 1700 per day. Is that enough?
I am currently 9 weeks.
Help?

There are different formulas that you can use to estimate the amount of calories you need to maintain your weight. This amount is often called a TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure).
There are a few sites out there, and they'll give you slightly different numbers, but I used this one (I usually use http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ , but it was down for me when I last checked): http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html
Using the stats you provided, and assuming little to no exercise, you would need to eat approximately 2,260 calories to maintain (without a baby).
I would guess that you currently aren't eating enough. However, I would consult again with your doctor about how much more you should be eating a day to only gain the amount they recommend.

I definitely don't get a lot of activity in. I work full time in A/R in front of a computer but I do try to get a little walk in each day of 30 mins or so.0
