So I know I'm just getting started...but I've been eating healthy and working out almost two weeks now...I thought at the very least I wouldn't be gaining more. But I've gone up about four pounds. I'm thinking I might not be working out enough...but I'm struggling to add more because I have fibromyalgia and even short workouts leave me in pain. As of now, I'm doing about an hour to an hour and a half a week. I'm thinking I should double this...my diet doesn't seem to be the issue, as I've been doing wonderful and not overeating and such. My biggest concern is this...the only way I was able to lose weight last time was by eating no simple carbs, and basically sustaining on vegetables...I'm not eating simple carbs now, but I'm worried that me eating meat and dairy might still be hindering me....so I'm not sure what to do...cut those from my diet or add more exercise despite the pain...

Since you are only 2 weeks into it I think the first thing is to stay the course. There are a lot of threads with someone wondering why their body isn't responding directly to the change by dropping weight. Their are other measurements than the scale. Just know that nearly everyone experiences weight loss differently and the scale is not the Only indication of progress

Make sure you measure and reward yourself for sticking to regular exercise and calories.

as long as you are in a deficit, you will lose weight.

for the VAST majority of people, the TYPES of food do not make a difference. Quantity DOES.

Make sure you are WEIGHING your food on a scale and tracking/ logging EVERYTHING.

weight loss is not linear. some weeks you lose nothing, some a bunch, some weeks you even have a gain.

Buy a food scale so that you can measure and log your foods, including veggies and fruit. The meat and dairy is fine to eat. Weight meat raw/uncooked.
