Walking as much as I can0

Accurate counting. And it helped that kids gave me Noro Virus so I didn't feel like eating. I don't recommend it as a plan.0

Walking. I had been doing body weight exercise too but due to sciatica pain I had to stop. My doctor advised me to just stick to walking for now. That and portion control has been helping me.0
-
Portion control and moving more , I try to do one exercise dvd a day but instead of sitting down all day I get up an clean or something.0

Weigh all solid foods and measure all liquids. You don't really know how much you are eating unless you are using a scale to weigh your foods.0
-
Weighing all the food that i ate has played a bigger part then exercising 24/7, plus self determination and motivation to reach that "goal".-1

Digital scale and pre-planning my meals to avoid temptation. Those are the things that have made all the difference to my success and my comfort.0

Eat less, move more..0

Keeping calories in check.0

75lb lost: eating a little less and moving a little more. Oh, and not giving up.
(There's other, personal, stuff there in terms of managing within a calorie allowance and balancing macros, but that's the simple (not-so) secret formula!)0 -
CI<CO
Calories in (eaten) less than calories out (used).
The formula is that simple.
And it's no secret. Everybody knows it. But everybody doesn't believe in it. The good thing is that it works, no matter if you believe in it or not!0 -
Keep it simple.0

1. Maintain a caloric deficit.
2. Repeat step 1.
3. ???
4. Profit.0 -
I keep prepped snacks I can go to when I'm feeling like loosing control (atm strawberries and mango). This is saving my life from binging on popcorn0

If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret0

No snacking, measure foods, plenty of walking0

Don't use the word "diet". Make life style changes that you can live with for the rest of your life!!!

100g per day of protein. Makes me less hungry, I crave sweets less, and getting to 100 crowds out other (poorer) food choices.0

Make each workout harder than the last, push yourself
Eat what you want but know what your eating. I also like to eat nutrient dense foods.
I like to know why I'm eating it
Eat more veggies.

100% by the book M-F, and never eat back my calories. Eat what I want for at least one meal Sat and Sun. The relaxation kept me motivated to lose the first 60. Now my weight loss is coming off a little slower, think I might move that to 1 meal a week.0

@crazygooselady LMAO! Been there! Done that! And do I ever agree!0

Calorie deficit.0

Eating much less during the workweek so I can not think about diet on the weekends. I wouldn't recommend this for everyone. But I am one of those that has been gaining slowly as I age, so I didn't need to eat a whole lot less overall. It has made things pretty easy for me.0

CICO is at the heart of it but food prep has made the biggest difference for me. If I didn't spend the time that I do shopping and prepping my breakfast and lunches ahead of time I would be trying to maintain a calorie deficit while eating fast food everyday. That's kinda how I ended up here in the first place.0

Keep getting up when you fall. There will always be one meal or one day when you get off track.... the key is to having the courage to get back up and go after it again.
For me, these secrets worked:
1- breakfast every morning
2- drinking lots of water
3- adding fruit as snacks instead of chips
4- avoiding fast food as much as possible
5- get moving as much as possible - when I don't feel like working out - I tell myself to just do 10 minutes and if I still don't feel like it I can quit. I usually get through 10 minutes, feel great and keep going.0 -
