Can't loose weight

i used the my fitness app a couple of years ago and lost a stone in weight unfortunately over the last year aafter buying a new home and starting a new job the stone I lost has crept back on so I started using the my fitness app. I am currently weighing my food as I did before and I do include everything I eat including the sinful foods. I do 50 sit ups a day use my elliptical trainer 3x week, walk my dog and work 3 x 13 HR shifts a week my problem is the weight is not coming off not one 1lb have I shed in 3 weeks any one got any ideas what im doing wrong. I have 12 weeks till I go on holiday and really want to shed some of this weight. I am currently 149lb and 5ft 5 and eating 1200 calories plus some of the burned off calories

Hi Ange, can you open your diary so we can have a look? I would suggest that you should be losing doing what you are doing but firstly I would say. Double check ALL your logging including drinks and seasonings etc. Weight and measure everything, drink plenty of water and never eat more than 50% of your exercise calories back. If nothing then happens in a couple more weeks I would suggest see a doctor and get a check up... Good luck Jules xx0

3 weeks and no results? The premise of MFP is to burn more calories then you take in. It's a simple physics principle; less in, more out = weight loss. If you're not see it, it could be metabolic related issue. Check with your doctor just be sure. Good luck.0

Hi, My name is Robin, I have been in the same boat as you, but for 40 years. I have a new diet plan I call ( The Intolerant Plan ) and it works for me!
The idea is that you ditch almost all of food that can cause bloating etc IE, wheat,oats,potatoes,soya,sugar.
Breakfast = orange squash, apple and a handful of mixed fruit and nuts. ( I am not intolerant to them )
Lunch = orange squash ,apple or green salad with part of the chicken from the dinner.
Dinner = orange squash, salad ( shredded) ( iceberg lettuce, 2 x tomatoes,2 x spring onions,celery with mayo or dressing. A quarter of a whole chicken.
Supper = orange squash, handful of mixed nuts
You can eat a handful of mixed fruit and nuts if you feel hunger pangs.
Don,t change the exercise.
Try for one week, weigh yourself each day at the same time and keep a note!
You can drink water at any time. only put salt on your salad!
If you miss a hot drink take the orange squash hot!

Hi there Ditto the same for me. I eat 1/3 cup oats as porridge made on water & add low fat yoghurt. I use 250 ml of low fat milk for the day. Lunch & Dinner is 2-3 cups green salad or low carb veg & 100gm protein. With elliptical trainer keep to level 2 & heart rate on fatburn NOT the higher cardio level. Then add 2 days of 1/2 hr resistance training using weights, theta and & core work. Have your measurements changed if your weight is slow to shift? Good luck0
