help, bottle neck in weight loss

Hi

The weight has been consistently going down since I started eatting healthy and going to the gym 4 times a week.
However, this morning, it went the other direction. I am a little discouraged.

Am I growing more muscles? (Ive been drinking Whey Powder) or I should increase the strength of my workout, switching from 30 mins cardio + some dumbbell exercises to 40 mins + some dumbbell exercises.

How long does bottle neck last before the next break through? Anyone? thanks a lot!

    Weight loss isn't linear. Track monthly trends, not daily or weekly fluctuations.
  • You are doing great!! You must be able to accept a 2-3 lb weight gain over night w/out doing anything different in your routine. Weight fluctuates due to water retention. Just keep an eye on the weight trend over time. I have been maintaining for over a year and it is hard. I weight myself every morning (very controversial). This keeps me from stuffing things into my mouth as I have to face the scale in the morning. Sometimes it goes up and sometimes down. As long as the trend is NOT UP!!!

    You are doing fine, just stick to it and you will be fine.
