exercise & recipes while laid up & on crutches

clwver me fell off my bike yesterday, damaged my right foot so I'm on crutches for the next while. I am determined to still burn calories, I was thinkin I can still do crunches, weights, push ups....any other additions? also can't stand for long on my good leg so need quick easy food I can prepare. thanks for any suggestions!

    One thing I did when I was laid up was make a lot of stews and dishes in the crockpot. I gathered everything that had to be chopped into a plastic bag and carried it over to the table along with a bowl or the crock. I then sat down with my foot up and chopped and cut up everything at once and dumped them into the container. I only had to cook a couple of times a week this way.

    thanks! really good idea, I have some soups & stews in the freezer I can use too
