Non refrigerated lunch for kids who don't like nut butter?

Drawing a blank there. Need to pack lunch for my kids for a field trip tomorrow and I can't use an ice pack because it has to be disposable... but they don't like nut butters...

Any idea? It will be 4 hours or so before they eat it.

Cheese or a jam sandwich, apples, a couple of cookies, a juice box.

You could put ice in a ziplock bag and then that would be disposable...

Depending how hot it is where you are, I think you'd probably be ok with just a regular turkey sandwich or something like that, even with no refrigeration. I know my mom didn't put ice packs in my lunchbox (Dukes of Hazard and Strawberry Shortcake) when I was a kid, and I survived.

    Refried beans in a wrap.
    Cheese/salsa/crackers.
    Drinkable yogurts.
    Carrots, raisins.

I like tuna or chicken lunchables, except substitute bread for the crackers. You can just pack the bread and the little cans of meat, which come with a little plastic spreading spoon.

you could just do little snacks. like crackers, fruit, granola bar, dry cereal. or freeze a yogurt stick and it should be ok by lunch. either thawed or still partially frozen which is fine too.

freeze a water bottle that could act as a freezer pack and they'll have cold water!

Cheese sandwich (keeps just fine for those time frames), fruit (avoid squishy bananas), a protein bar, some whole nuts (or trail-mix)?

^ this (sounds like our house too) ^ - we've sent home made meatless bean + brown rice burritos (some lettuce + salsa inside for moisture) to school many a time including for field trips. Our kids love them still.
