Meditation, And Mindful Success stories?

Hi everyone,
I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember, but something has changed in me recently, I have recently started meditating, learning to love myself; Iooking in on my self I saw I was my own worst enemy, I would beat my self down and say 'I couldn't do it' any previous diet attempts saw me loosing a few stone then piling it all back on, convinced I couldn't keep it off.
What I have read about and been particularly inspired by is Jon Gabriels story on mindfulness and the power of imagery and the mind, that to truly successfully lose weight you must first alter and clear your mind and learn to love yourself.
This is a mini success story and the start of a life long inspirational journey with myself.
Has anyone else tried Meditation and mindfulness in regards to their weight? And has it helped you change your life for the better?
Thank you

I do meditate but the only time I've heard of it in reference to dieting is in terms of eating mindfully and experiencing everything you eat. I will check out that story you refer to.
That aside, I think there's a lot to be said for loving yourself first and foremost. It makes you realise that you deserve to be healthy. Food addictions (like any other addiction) result from something else being lacking from life. Often what is lacking is acceptance. Good luck and I hope the meditation helps.0
