Hello MFP friends:
I am writing to introduce myself to this program. Im 58 years young and recently had trouble with my weight and was introduced to this by my doc. It really seems to work if you journel daily or close to that. I would love to meet and share some of your stories so feel free to contact me.

I am a similar stage/age . I've been on and off MFP for 2 years. Going "off" was always a mistake.

When I am on it/using it - it really helps keep me focused, and I get results. Losing them when I stop too soon. I think I need to keep at it for a year plus for the habits to be formed and the lifestyle change to be solid.

I have only lost a very little (in the 40 day streak I am back on), BUT my eating habits and exercise habits have greatly improved. I think it is common for it to be slow at a certian age - making "sticking with it" the most critical element of success.

I am feeling confident that I am laying a critical foundation for perm weight loss and control by focusing consistency in tracking, improved nutrition consistent movement - sometime formal exercise classes, sometime dog walking or golf - just staying on my feet and in motion as much as possible.

Happy to provide any support I can.
