Muscle Gain?

2 weeks ago I started working out again and added some strength and toning in. I lost last week, but this week when I weighed in I had gained .6 from the last weigh in. Is it possible that it is muscle mass forming? But wouldn't I have lost fat?

You are probably retaining fluids from starting your training.

    this

it is highly unlikely that you would put on muscle mass that fast, or at all when eating at a deficit to lose fat

Agreed probably just fluid next time you want to weigh yourself stay away from salt/sodium for minimum 24 hours as it will cause you to retain liquid. The gym of you weigh yourself do it before your work out because taxed muscle will retain water that's why they puff up during work out.

Although that's a little silly because you'll have to do that every time you weigh yourself. Better to just accept that there are fluctuations, and if you're counting your calories right then the overall trend will be down.

It's not silly it's the best times to weight yourself at minimum water retention, and is to give an example as how water affects weight. One does not have to do this everyone of they don't want to but they will understand more of they see results.

I'm reading this as, gaining point six pounds. If that's true you should take off you socks and weigh yourself again.

There is no way in h*ll you made 0.6 pounds of muscle in two weeks. Especially at a caloric deficit

This. Seriously. I mean, weigh yourself before and after using the bathroom. 0.6 is nothing! I fluctuate several pounds between morning and night.
