I am finally ready to do this! Its been hard coming to grips with accepting what has to be done in order to get to my goal weight.Eat smaller portions,exercise, get more sleep and drink more water. Lord help me get through the first two weeks ! So far 3.6 pounds lost . I love reading any tips ! I sure love this app!

You have all the basics down! Set a reasonable calorie deficit, people who try to stay at 1200 or less calories generally fail. Think of each day as a brand new day with a clean slate. If you have a bad day, it is not going to ruin all of your hard work. Take it one day at a time, and don't give yourself a deadline to lose the weight. Oh, and my biggest tip is PROTEIN/healthy fats to keep you full!! good luck!0

Make it fun! That's my advice.
For exercise be a kid again, remember all the things you did back then and do them. Go to the park, swing on the swings. Get a hula hoop and laugh at yourself when it falls to the ground. Draw out hop scotch and see if you remember how to do it, jump rope, play catch or toss around a frisbee.
When it comes to food experiment with some of your favorite foods. Make it a personal challenge to take your existing meals and make them healthier.
I'm telling you if you fully embrace the kid within the days are so much easier.
I'll even give you an example of a kid day for me. Pack a picnic lunch of grapes, cheese, apples or celery and peanut butter, pretzels and maybe some baby carrots. Put on sneakers or hiking shoes and wander off into the woods with your camera. Look to see what you can find, are there ferns, pretty or unusual flowers, salamanders, odd looking trees or will you find tracks of an animal. If work gets in the way pack that kind of lunch and imagine the hike while you enjoy your food. If nothing else you'll smile at a memory.0
