Training effect climbing 7 flights of stairs in 2.5 minutes?

I work on the 7th floor of an office building and it takes me about 2.5 minutes to walk up the stairs at a normal walking pace. My heart is beating fast by the time I get to the top and I need to take a moment to catch my breath. I don't do this with much regularity and I'm wondering if it would be good for me to do so. Would I get a training effect if I did this a couple times a day, or is 2.5 minutes just to short a time to achieve a training effect?

You'll burn a few calories, improve your cardio a little and get better and better at climbing stairs. Screw walking up them, run it. It's only 7 flights.0
