I just keep reminding myself I want to fit in my clothes and have healthy foods around, freeze stuff, get stuff out of the house, stay active.

    It's all in your control.

    This. Grab control.

Also, you can shave off a couple hundred calories during the week to make some room for the weekends. I find it very hard to get through a Saturday like a normal, happy, social human being without at least being able to eat up to 2500 calories.

Great advice. Don’t beat yourself up: instead, anticipate higher-cal days and plan for them. Bam, problem solved, weight loss on track.

    Right, anticipate pastries.

Haha! In a perfect world, there would always be pastries in the near future

Anticipate does not mean expect. It means act in expectation of. Common misconception. If you anticipate pastries you will have saved calories for them or exercised to make calories for them in advance. I am about to go for a walk in anticipation of cider tonight. If I don't walk the cider won't happen as I won't have the calories in the bank.

I thought that’s what we were saying.

I think it's a great idea to plan you these kind of high calorie days but we also need to start learning to curb them. If we allow ourselves to continue to binge on the weekends then those weekends eventually bleed into the weeknights. This is how we all got to the point we are at right now.
I prepare all my food portions the day before including my alloted snacks. Maybe you should do the same thing for your weekends. Plan a higher calorie Sat but also include more exercise in your routine. Prepare regular size meals and just have more grab bags of snacks than usual. If you know your eating an extra 1000 calories of snacks on a Sat try and slim it down to 750 or 500. But do prepare them ahead of time. Try to get out of the house and do some activity or work in the yard. Summer is coming ....plant a small vegetable of foods you like. You can't eat while while playing in the dirt. You eventually have to slowly get out of the routine of major cheat days or you're never going to be able to maintain goal weight if you are able to actually reach it. It's OK to cheat every now and then just don't let it take over a whole day or weekend. Try and limit it to a certain snack or a certain meal. Healthy living start now because tomorrow never comes.

You are aware of it. So look at what you are eating and your goals. Is the type of food part of the issue? Have you gotten enough protein, fats and fiber? Have you tried drinking water and waiting 30 minutes to an hour to see if the feeling of wanting to eat passes? Are you eating because you are bored? Do you plan out your meals in advance? Pre-logging can be helpful.
Have you been very restrictive lately? Maybe ease up and fit some of these foods into your day on a regular basis so you don't go overboard.

If you're current program restricts you a lot, then weekends will probably always be your demise because habitually we learn to relax efforts on weekends. And that includes weight loss regimens.

Put the food away and go out and do something with the rest of today. Go for a walk. Shopping. To a museum. Start planning a vacation. Distract your mind with something else pleasurable other than food.
