How do you stay motivated?

I lost weight a few years back and everyone said I looked great. Then exam stress hit, I quit my sport because I had no time to do it and now I'm at university with the laziest lifestyle :') I go through phases where I'll get off my butt and go for a run, or I'll eat healthy. But then I'll start making excuses not to run or I'll end up snacking in the evenings.
Sounds stupid but I feel like I have no control over myself sometimes! Need help motivating myself before I get any bigger.

I always try to remember why I need to be healthy
It is cheaper to be healthy than the alternative
I love how my body looks after lifting weights. I wish to continue that feeling
Keep your eyes on the prize (whatever it is for you)
If you have one failure, pick yourself , dust yourself off and go back to your plan
Good luck in your healthy journey

I've been struggling with motivation as well. Right now the trick I'm trying is when I lose 25 pounds I'm buying myself a new Michael Kors wallet and when I hit 40 pounds I'll buy myself a new Michael Kors bag (I'm a Kors addict, don't judge me). So far so good but I've only been doing it for a week heh

Also I've been telling my friends and family about my goals. I'm hoping that they'll keep asking so I'll feel accountable to them as well as myself. But I know that strategy isn't for everyone. Though do maybe tell your close friends that way it'll be easier to say "I don't want to go out to that restaurant" or "I can only have two drinks" since they know you're trying to lose weight. Just a thought :) Good luck and keep trying!!

I was in the same boat for about a year and a half. I had great self esteem and was healthy, working out a lot, feeling really good at 30 and then I got pregnant with my 3rd child and gained about 75lbs! Kept looking in the mirror hating myself but couldn't get out of my funk to stay motivated to lose weight. Now I'm about to start my 4th week of healthier eating and exercising 6 days a week. I do allow a cheat meal here and there but I count my calories every day to make sure I'm in the range I need to be. I kicked soda completely and drink only water and a Shakeology for breakfast. I kinda just decided that I need to stop making excuses and just DO IT before I gained anymore! And here I am 3 weeks in and I've lost 10lbs. U have to keep telling yourself u are worth it and since your like me, u know how the payoff feels! So just DO IT. It's ok to have an off day but all the more reason to give it that extra 10% the next day. I count calories every day, log my meals and snacks and water intake, and meal prep every Sunday. It helps so so much! If u need any motivation or help feel free to add me. Good luck ;)

Ok so I am 27 been struggling with my weight all my life. I get motivated then I just back track. I really need some support and encouragement. I know I should be able to do it. My husband and I have been trying to have children for years but with no success. I have recently been diagnosed with P.C.O.S. basically I don't produce eggs. I've been told that I need to lose about 80lbs. So here I am again. Trying to gain the courage to do this.
