it is a solid workout and is nice because it requires no workout props other than your tv/dvd. Actually a fantastic workout for the traveler.

About to start month two. It's very very hard and very very intense but I'm really enjoying it. I do have a fitness background though (but came at this essentially from zero due to illness), I'd say if you're a beginner you might have issues with correct form but it does what it says on the tin!

Hey, it is very good obviously, but you need to keep up good diet to get most of it. Second month is harder than first. I was testing it on myself. When I first saw some random vids I thought its easy but then I started doing it and I must admit it is challenging. I was recording calorie burn using chest strap. During first stage at a single session I could burn between 530-600 cals. After that I was exhausted and never before at any exercise was sweating that much as when doing insanity. But I compared that with calorie burn doing normal (medium-intensive 30-45 mins gym workout) during which I could pump up my body and feel the workout, I could burn the same amount with only little or not sweating at all and not feeling exhausted. But anyway, insanity has the advantage that you tone up your entire body, also it involves good stretching, so in my opinion it has more advantage than doing only for example bike or running etc. But apart from that you should be able to burn the same amount of cals by doing running etc. and not being that exhausted in the end. This is my experience doing it. The key is diet.
