Would he 30 day planking thing be ok if you have a bad back? I have been told to improve my core as it's so weak. Thanks

I would ask your doctor or chiropractor about that. Improving the core is important to helping the back but at the same time, make sure that it is OK first. Planks are great for improving the core and are challenging.

This is a great question as I have a compressed vertebrae. Takes a long time to heal and helps to strengthen core for this also. Planks may be too hard for me right now.

I guess a physiotherapist would know which exercises would be best to strengthen the core when you have back issues.

I think the plank may be too stressful without at least some strength already in the core to support the back. I'd recommend a good pilates practitioner, pilates saved my back whilst a dancer after abusing my hypermobility as a gymnast!
