i know everyone says it's okay every once in a while to have a cookie or ice cream or something, but will it slow down my metabolism if i don't eat sweets at all? also, every time i do eat a single cookie, i feel extremely guilty afterwards. any thoughts?

Eating doesn't affect metabolism. I eat sweets in moderation every day and have lost 44 pounds and have been maintaining for over a year.
For weight loss, all you have to do is eat at a calorie deficit.0 -
Why would eating sweets speed up your metabolism? I don't get it.0

Why do you ask? My diary is open.
By the way, I'm not the original poster, and is that whom you meant to respond to?0 -

Food doesn't have any affect on metabolism. Exercise increases your TDEE (in other words, when you exercise you can eat more).0 -

I know, what I'm saying is that I don't understand why the OP would think that.0
