Low Sugar ideas

Hello,

This is my first post here. I intermittently use MFP and I'm excited to be using it again right now. I've noticed over the past two days (as I track my food again) that I always intake a lot of sugar! It seems like it's from mostly unexpected sources or perhaps I eat too much fruit.

I would love some ideas about foods I can eat for breakfast that will be lower in sugars. Can you help me?

Thanks you!

Bacon and egg. Zero carbs, zero sugar, well established historical safety record.

Eggs! Great idea! Don't know why that disappeared from my brain.

I guess I should add that I am vegetarian...

I have the same problem. I eat a lot of greek yogurt and it took a while for me to notice how much sugar is in one of the containers with fruit! Now I get a big container of plain, nonfat greek yogurt and add plain fruit and a LITTLE bit of sugar. Cuts it way down, and it's still sweet enough for me.

As for breakfast, I usually eat a hard boiled egg and a piece of fruit. Morningstar makes some great meatless sausage links, too, if you like those.
