Just thought I'd share how I'm doing so far as a newbie starter to "dieting" I'd call it healthier eating really. As I want to remain eating healthier for the rest of my life and still have bad foods now and again.

So I'm 25 and have 2 kids, which left me at my highest of 14st 7lbs. My goal is to lose around 70lbs. I'm now currently weighing 13st 13lbs, in the 13s yeaaaaaaaa! Lol.

All I did was swap frozen meals, like chips, burgers, ready meals etc. I ate alot of white bread, which I've swapped for wholemeal bread. I eat 3 times a day only, as I'm used to this. My food diary is open and you are welcome to view what i eat, but I just picked foods I like and I know are generally healthy/healthyish. Mainly jacket potatoes, rice and fish, salads etc. I do get a little hungry in between unfortunatly but i try to snack on fruit or carrot sticks etc.

The exercise I get is only by walking my child to school and back, the walk is quite long, 20 mins there and 20 mins back. I do this twice a day 5 days a week. Saturday and Sunday I don't do so much accept if I take my kids out for a walk or something. I'm remaining quite active. I've lost weight steadily and safely and in no rush. I weigh everyday, this really helps me keep track. My weigh day that I put down in MFP is Saturday's.

I havnt lost motivation, I've never stayed so long at this before, I've dieted before and it was always yoyo dieting, so I've changed my attitude to dieting, and calling it a healthy living. I feel healthier and happier, and will hopefully reach my goal by the end of the year or early next year. I still have a long way to go and still look horrible because I'm so short (5ft 3in) by next summer I want to be standing in a bikini at the beach! I want to be comfortable on clothes, I want to be able to run a mile, i want to be happy. I've been unhappy about myself for the last 10 years. Please do not give up. I will never give up, this app really helps me, if it wasn't here I probably would be putting more weight on and risking my health.
Good luck to you all!! Feel free to add me, or ask anything I might've missed. :)

P.S it will say on my profile I've lost only 6lbs so far but I've lost 8lbs as I didn't record the first week : )

well done! I started around your weight (14 stone 3lbs) and Im 5'3" too! I got down to 8 stone 3, in a year and a half - so you will be FINE! Well done! you have the right mindset - and you are right. It's not a diet. its a lifestyle.

    :)

Yes it really does, I'm getting used to what I'm eating now, although I need to find more different healthy foods to enjoy as well as I'm eating the same stuff all the time and gets boring :/
