When they say cups, do you know how many litres it is? I drink 2 to 2.5l a day, but I don't know how many cups that is to put it into my diary.

    Well 1 metric cup is 250ml. 250ml x 4 = 1 litre :)

Sure using "cups" is a very US-centric (and archaic) unit of liquid/dry measurement, but there's also this thing called "Google"

You can type "cup to l" into your browser's window (I use chrome) and you get your answer without even pressing Enter.

I do it all the time for unit measurements like:
    "10l/100km to mpg"
    or
"10stone 2lbs to kg" <--- stone... seriously people?

Try it, it's a lot of fun... ;)

Hahaha I may have actually used the words 'seriously' and 'google' to my husband before I answered this post :)

I did use google, ad to be honest, it didn't help which is why I asked! Cups seem to vary so much, and hold different amounts of water.

I'll take it as 250ml then.

A cup is actually a specific unit of measurement, not just any cup that you might use.

One cup is 8 US fluid ounces which is 236.588 ml.

Oftentimes, I find Wikipedia is more useful than Google.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cup_(unit)
