Returning from falling off the wagon... :-)

It's been YEARS since I've been using My Fitness Pal. You know how life gets busy? You know how you start getting distracted? Well, both have been happening. Several life changes and several stress reactions later, I've decided to try and refocus on gaining some ground back in my healthy life. Has anyone else found themselves in this place lately?

I'm still working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and now group fit instructor. Like my doctor says though, "The Cobbler's Children Have No Shoes." In typical fashion I put everyone else before myself. I listened to an awesome Podcast from Precision Nutrition about 2 weeks ago and something has continued to stick with me...I need to practice what I teach. That means: Getting enough sleep, drinking enough water, planning my meals, etc. So my first goal has been to recover lost sleep (or find it again) and work towards consistent execise.

I've also discovered that saying "NO" is not always a bad thing. Looking forward to reconnecting and meeting some new people along the way.

Well hello Carolyn! I'm in SC too. I fell off the wagon as well but I am likely more out of shape than you. I have a habit of not getting enough sleep and need to change that, eat better and lift!!! Been thinking about getting a trainer so I can get off my lazy butt however really don't want to spend the money. Thinking if I can stick with some new good habits I may get one later. I did walk today, my gym is next door to my neighborhood, I can walk there....but they are closed until one today. I have been taking my son to the pool for swimming lessons...I am determined to change my life once and for all. Nice to meet you. =)

I also fell off the wagon a while back and I'm trying to climb back on. So far, six weeks of "sobriety". In the past I would typically stop with a Weight loss program at about this time so I need to make a conscious effort to stick with it this time.

Two years ago I lost 105 lbs by logging my calories on My Fitness Pal. It wasn't until most of the weight was off that I started walking for exercise. So I know how it's done. But like you, I let life get in the way for a few months. Now 26# have found their way back on my hips!
With no money or desire for new clothes I've got to make these fit again. So it's back to what I know works: M.F.P. & walking. But I want to add some buddies to encourage me. Glad to find others who have "fallen off the wagon" and are trying again. Please add me to your buddy list.
