Calories/nutrition percentile question

Hello. I just started using MyFitness Pal last week. I had previously lost a lot of weight using Weight Watchers, so tracking my food is not new to me. I'm having a difficult time getting back into Weight Watchers (I hate the ap now). I'm very excited to be using MyFitness Pal.

So my question, I try very hard to stick within my calories and I'm also looking very closely at the percentages for Carbs, Fat, and Protein. Which is most important to look at? It definitely makes me think more about what I'm eating. If I stick to my calories (or even a bit below), but my percentages for Carbs, Fat, and Protein are off, will I still lose weight?

Thanks!
Andrea

Calories=weight loss, macros=nutrition. Play around with the numbers to see what works for you.

In order of importance, it's: calories/protein/fat/fiber. It's easier to go by grams. You need a minimum grams per day of protein, fat and fiber. There are online calculators for each. Just manually set your percentages to equal as close to your grams per day as possible.

Calories are what matter for weightloss. Macronutrients (protein/fat/carbs), micronutrients (vitamins), and fiber are what matter for health And propper body functions. As long as your calories are accurate (get a food scale if you don't have one), and at your daily calculated deficit, you will lose weight.
