Hi, my name is Tina and I stay in Belleville Mi. Just found out last feb about having a thyroid problem and then found out I have nodules on and around my thyroid so at the end of the month I meet with an endocrinologist for the first time. I have heart disease on top of it so I do whatever I can handle to stay as active as I can besides my day jobs. I've heard many different stories about having this biopsy done so I am pretty nervous about it. If anyone wants to add me go ahead. Tina

I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease), and I'm 46. I was diagnosed with an ultrasound and bloodwork—no biopsy.
MFP has a hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/753-hypothyroidism-and-hyperthyroidismThere many natural foods that are good for lowering it.
According to my endocrinologist (and the Mayo Clinc) there's no such thing as a thyroid diet: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hypothyroidism/expert-answers/hypothyroidism-diet/faq-200585540
