So this is what a bad day looks like!

I'm in a good amount of pain today- my fibro and rheumatoid arthritis are both flaring up, and it's made me a little grumpy.
So of COURSE, I head to carbs, because I think that they make me happy.
1000 calories of sour cream and onion chips later, I realize what I have done.
I'm 400 cal over my daily limit, and I have not had supper yet.
Because of my pain, I'm not getting off of the couch tonight to exercise. I will require my husband's assistance to get into my pajamas.
However-
Tomorrow is a new day!
Back on track then! I can beat this bad day slump!

I've had many of those days myself. The trick is do you let it start a downward spiral or do you shake it off? Great attitude!

    I can shake them off.
I've just never consumed THAT many potato chips in one sitting before lol.

I'm a big time snacker, and the best thing Ive found is to keep the house free of my naughty snacks. Now, I have to snack on fruits and veggies since that's what's in the fridge.

Or, buy a snack size bag of chips so you can get the taste, but not mindlessly eat from a big bag.

Yeah, I'm going to take the easy road out and blame the bag of chips on my husband lol.
He needs to bulk in a serious way- he's 6'2" and 125 lbs. Has been that height/weight since high school graduation 18 years ago. We buy all sorts of high calorie crap for him, and he consumes it all, (he eats an entire box of pop tarts in one go at times, on top of his mostly 'good' diet of home made food) but he's still struggling.
I manage to stay away from his snack closet, and chow down on yummy things like carrots, except for today.
Tomorrow will be back on track!

I would have him go for a full medical checkup. Could be thyroid. But he should focus on nutrient rich foods versus junk. Maybe tryout some protein mixes?

He's been checked, and every couple of years has it rechecked. His thyroid is just on the low side of normal, but still in normal range. The last one was 0.8 TSH.
He had protein mixes in between every meal in high school, he can't look at the things now.
We do focus mostly on healthy foods, but he's a junk snacker, and will eat crap a few nights a week. Don't worry though, the pop tarts thing doesn't happen often, just like my bag of chips binge.

I really hope you're feeling better soon! I've done something to my hip (not sure what!) and moving isn't great atm, I'm in a fair bit of pain so unfortunately will be joining you on the couch x

Oh yeah, my bad day is over :)
My RA will always be with me, I'll always have it, and hopefully the bad days are few and in between!
