What is up with all the posts - use the search feature. Look at the 100s of threads posted this week alone. Hot dogs, saltines and ice cream - do those sound healthy? It is a joke.

Doesn't work, but you are in the right place if you need to lose weight. Start with the "announcement" threads at the top of this forum.

It's not the diet used in the military for starters.

Basically, this diet was started as a joke, and the person who started it is still amazed that people still share it*.

Does it work? Sure, you will lose weight because you're eating low calorie. But you can eat low calorie and not follow this 'diet'.

If there anything magic in the combo of foods? God, no. seriously? Tuna, hot dogs, saltines and ice cream??

Does it have a single solitary thing to do with the military? NOPE. Unless we're talking about a small force of soldiers stuck behind enemy lines with nothing to eat but what they can pillage from a 7-11.

Work out a calorie goal, eat that calorie goal.

    * This may or may not be true, but if it isn't a joke, I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
