Emotional eating

So I had a rough Monday and...(get ready for it)...I ate!! I went over like 500 calories! Anyone have any suggestions about how to deal with that? I always regret it, but I can't seem to think about that when I start. It's obviously not in the forefront of my mind and I have to make watching what I eat a conscious effort every time I pick out something to eat.

i am the same way... i eat with my emotions so to get out all of my cravings i like to have a cheat day and ive noticed that a lot of other people do too. just dont beat yourself up over it. start tomorrow fresh.
... i like to have my cheat day the day after i weigh in so i have five days to work it off...

I agree, consider it a cheat day.
Yesterday I ate some 'pita bakes' and when I went back to add in my calories, understood that I had miscalculated them before I dug in. So, I too, went over quite a bit. I was pretty upset at first, but then just figured, I will call it my cheat day since I usually don't take one. And then, since it was my 'cheat day' I also had two bites of my daughter's mashed potatoes!
Don't beat yourself up and hang in there!0 -
Over the weekend i went over by a total of almost 800 calories!!!!! BUT I burnt 700 calories in the gym yesterday and didn't eat my 'earned calories' in order to compensate for the extra 800 i had over the weekend. I feel so much better now and I can stay on track the rest of the week without worrying about the effect the bad weekend will have on my friday weigh in!0
