I'm twenty three with a 1 1/2 year old I don't get home from picking my daughter up and work till about 7:15 after I get dinner done and cleaned up it's dark and not safe to walk in the dark around here . I have a jullian michaels work out video but don't have the motivation to do it when every goes to bed pluse I like going to bed with my husband and we only have one tv I can use to do my video . And my eating habits are hard to over come because it's easy just to eat easy cooking foods that are not healthy . I get hungry then over eat and when I'm done I feel like a failure . For example my husband wanted corn dogs and tater tots so that's what I fixed why because it's easy and he's very picky about food don't like anything health no baked chicken salads sweat potatoes veggies very picky . I know What I have to do for my health and to get my diabetes under control I just don't have the drive to and don't know why !!!!

It's hard when you have others to look after. You always seem to be the last priority right? But you have to make yourself and your health a priority for you daughter. Especially if you have diabetes.

You don't need to exercise to lose weight. It will be better for your health if you can, but if it's difficult right now, just focus on your food.

Some options in dealing with your evening meals is to either eat super healthy and light at breakfast and lunch, so you can enjoy some not so healthy food in the evening with your husband. Or you need to cook you and your husband separate meals in the evening. I'm vegetarian and my husband is not, so I cook separate meals for the both of us. It doesn't take that much longer.

It is hard when you are busy with a little one and you can't work out with them under your feet. Suggestions may be to workout before you go to work (it would involve getting up earlier) OR investing in a gym (Planet Fitness is $10 per month) and going there when it's too dark to walk. Maybe have husband help you with the clean up so you can enjoy some time to walk while it's still light outside. And as for the food- try pintrist or another healthy recipe site to search for easy, healthy recipes that everyone in your family will like and that won't be too much work for you. I would make the healthy meals disguised as meals that your husband might still like- for example, turkey burgers, using low fat options in the ingredients, baking things instead of frying, making homemade french fries for example is healthy and tasty and low calorie if you bake them. Sometimes you have to come up with some creative ways to make it work. Spaghetti has always been a family favorite, and I just weigh and cook my portion separately so I won't overeat. Make salads you can fill your plate up with along side of a favorite your husband likes. And to keep yourself from getting too hungry make sure you fill up on high fiber low calorie foods. You can do it if you are creative and truly motivated.

My big problem is if I get board at home or work I want to eat . I try to keep busy but that don't always help I drink plenty of water to try to stay fuller for longer . To night instead of having one corn dog and a few tater tots I had two and about ten tater tots :( I know in my head what I should and shouldn't eat and how much I get hungry and eat with out thinking about it .

What kinds of foods do you eat at breakfast and lunch? Remember that to lose weight you don't need to eat less. You can actually eat a lot of food as long as you are eating a nutritionally balanced diet. Do you buy lunch at work?
