So I'm gonna be travelling to Aus in 2 months and planning on spending about a year there....have any Aussies got any suggestions of any particular food I should try whilst I'm there/anything to avoid????
Gonna be travelling around a lot so want to try and stay as healthy as possible but know its gonna be hard to avoid snacking during long car journeys!!

Hi Chloe!
Yes, Melbourne born and bred here. :-)
There's a lot of good, fresh food here in Australia. Try to shop markets (or smaller fruit & veg stores), rather than the big supermarkets, for the freshest foods (cheaper too!). There are a lot of weekly markets here in Melbs. The Queen Vic Market is the biggest and is definitely worth a visit. I'm sure somebody is going to force feed you vegemite at some point, so I will say this - the trick is to spread it THINLY with LOTS of butter. Delicious!
Hope you enjoy your travels!0
