Changing my way of thinking

Hi--my name is Tammie and I have struggled with my weight and self image all my life. I have probably lost the weight of about 4 adults in my life time. After some research, I have decided I am a food addict. I am trying a new approach with my life--facing the addiction and as an alternative to "dieting" I have chosen to make healthy food choices and to identify when I am physically hungry and not just craving food. I am also trying to identify my trigger events that cause me to binge. I am hoping that by changing my mind set, I can adopt a healthy relationship with food for life.

Looking at it as a life style change is a good idea. Remember that everything is fine in moderation. ( imagine going through life never having ice cream again or your favorite treat!?! That would be terrible) making the transition into a life style change takes time and effort but it can be done :-) best of luck0
