I just downloaded fitbit and ı dıdnt log anythıng about my meals or exercıse but it says i burned 1400 cals? I dont understand this because i burned only 259 cals today and i chose the "harder" option. It shows sth like -1000 what is this? And tho i didnt log any meals, it says i can still eat 644 cals more! FitBit is so complex! And why cant i see a pedometer and sleep tracker in it?

I just got Fitbit as well. I made my goal to lose 2 lbs per week so it's allowing me to eat anything that is net 1000 calories of what I burned. So, because I burned over 2500 today, so it said, it's telling me I can eat more because it's within the 1000 to lose 2 lbs.

I'm not having much luck with it's accuracy but I guess I'll see how it goes...

    https://help.fitbit.com/customer/portal/articles/898903-how-does-fitbit-know-how-many-calories-i-ve-burned-

If you have a One, push the button and it will cycle through steps, stairs, calories, etc. If you have a Zip, tap the screen and it cycles. if you have a Flex, it has to synch and then you can see the stats on your dashboard. It'll probably help you to read some of the articles on the FitBit web site and forums for more info. It's not very complicated, really.

The extra calories is it saying that you burned are part of your bmr... Meaning even if you did nOtHInG your body would burn calories... What you do exercise wise is just extra on top of your bmr.
