You aren't going to speed up your metabolism. Just stay in your calories, get some exercise and be patient. There is also no such thing as "toning."

There are none, that's not how metabolism works

    What is toning?

If you want a "toned" look you need to put muscles there and drop enough body fat to make them visible

Cardio is for cardio vascular health and gives you more calorie burn

Heavy progressive lifting programme for decent musculature

Light weight high reps are virtually pointless

    Hope that helps

Unless you are known deficient in something, or health issue, the only things the vitamins/minerals may help with is getting a better workout, or recovering better from a good one.

Then again, even that minor positive assist could be easily wiped out by undereating too much and not getting good sleep, ect.

Several reports are saying more and more people are short on Vitamin D.
So if you get a blood test, sometimes you have to request that is included because it may not be by default.
And that can help with energy levels if your body isn't purposely trying to slow you down.

I've read reports on Vitamin D and calcium assisting with metabolism however I cannot guarantee the validity of the information. Never overlook good old green tea though - super great for general wellbeing and supposedly can boost the metabolism/fat burning ability.

If you read them, especially online, you should easily be able to check into the validity.

source for the claim it is good for wellbeing? And no, it will not boost metabolism.

Also- before you start taking any vitamin supplement, see your doctor to make sure you actually need it/are deficient in it. Taking vitamins you don't need can actually have harmful effects. While excess water soluble vitamins will just get excreted via urine, excess fat soluble vitamins will build up in your body, possibly to toxic levels. Just because something is OTC doesn't mean it is safe to take without asking your doctor first.

L-glutamine and Chromium Picolinate have helped me and I think can balance blood sugars?. There are claims 5-HTP can stop cravings take half hour before a meal. Vitamin D drops and vitamin b is often needed and can help with tiredness which is often when I eat!! I got this info from videos online. Just experimenting. I think they helped but if I get really stressed or my routine messed up by partner constantly suggesting we go to cafes or McDonalds I still fall off the wagon! I like Barbara Mendez videos for tips. She says have an egg for breakfast and that really works to stop cravings! Actually none of this boosts metabolism just coming in from a different angle here regarding weight loss.

Because online videos are ALWAYS righ, right?

Again- people should NOT take vitamins until they speak to their doctor. You can accidentally over dose (and potentially kill yourself) on vitamins.

Speed. Well known method to speed up the metabolism and lose weight. Also cocaine affects how your body stores fat.
If you are not open to the idea of becoming a drug addict to lose weight, send $100 to me and I promise I will send you back a tea that helps. I can even upload a video on youtube that will prove it :)

I was going to say that exercise speeds up your metabolism. At least your cardiovascular system. How long and how frequent are your cardio sessions? Do you have a small snack before and after?

Neither of those articles indicate death.

"The main consequence of vitamin D toxicity is a buildup of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause poor appetite, nausea and vomiting. Weakness, frequent urination and kidney problems also may occur...[] ...Taking 50,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity. This level is many times higher than the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for most adults of 600 IU of vitamin D a day."

"Although excess preformed vitamin A can have significant toxicity (known as hypervitaminosis A), large amounts of beta-carotene and other provitamin A carotenoids are not associated with major adverse effects [35]. The manifestations of hypervitaminosis A depend on the size and rapidity of the excess intake. The symptoms of hypervitaminosis A following sudden, massive intakes of vitamin A, as with Arctic explorers who ate polar bear liver, are acute [36]."

Chromium is an element and happens to be one that you can overdose on. Generally speaking care should be taken with all element supplements including calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and lithium.

When I worked in a file room that regulated this sort of thing I read of a mother who overdosed her infant on zinc, mistakenly interpreting the infant's failing health from the overdose as a deficiency.
