Anyone get a skin rash on areas where you're losing fat?

Once I hit 20 lbs loss I started having little pin mark size rash on the areas where I've noticed the weight is dropping from most...trunk/belly, thighs...but then also my back. I googled info about wt loss and rashes and read a lot of entries on various websites about fat cell toxins being released when they are shrinking or disappearing...don't know how true that is or not.

Nope, those websites are probably trying to sell you some silly cleanse or something. More than likely it's that your clothes fit differently now, and are starting to rub and irritate your skin. Or your skin is actually rubbing against other skin in ways that it didn't before, and it's chafing. Try some lotion or powder.

Wow, the things people will say for a quick buck these days.

    OP, these claims are false.

Ok..thanks. The sites that I viewed were not trying to sell anything, they were message boards like this with people sharing and getting responses. The search had also brought up entries on this board from a couple years ago with people talking about getting a rash..I was just trying to get a current response.

Are you working out and then sort of marinating in your clothes? Something in my sports bras gives me a rash if I don't take them off right away.

Yeah, the toxin thing is just silly pseudoscience.

If you're getting a rash, you might be lingering too long in sweaty workout clothes. Or did you recently change laundry detergents, soaps, or buy clothing in different fabrics? It's possible something is irritating your skin.
