Hi!
Started jan 27 to today, I have lost total of 20lbs. I use fitnesspal to track my calorie intake. And I use insanity workout and also run 1 or 2 miles 5-6 times a week. I'm wondering if I should change my calorie intake which is around 1300 per day. And add more work out?? I need to lose 20 more lbs. need some advice. Thx!!

That's not a plateau if you've lost 20 lbs since Jan. 27.0

Thanks. I know it's a good accomplishment that I lost 20lbd thus far. My goal is still 1 to 2lbs per week. And for 2 weeks now, my weight has not chsnged. Should I add more HIIT exercise and change what my calorie intakes?0

Sometimes you will stall with weight loss, check your measurements are they moving? also change up the workouts. Try something new, that can work.
Believe it or not sometimes taking a few days off the working out can also jump start things.0 -
Weight loss isn't linear, some weeks you may not lose. That doesn't mean you aren't losing, kwim?? IMO, if you aren't weighing/measuring your intake (food) with a scale, then I would start there first. You may be eating more than you realize.
Read the first post in this thread, it should be able to give you better insight on your next move:

I wasn't losing when I first started this diet. Then a counsellor mentioned that the diet works for everyone. So I reviewed my eating plan and found out that I wasn't eating enough protein calories. So I increased my protein consumption and lowered my carb intake. It worked; because I am losing again. I don't have a lot of answers because I am still battling my own weight loss all I can suggest is what I have tried and if it worked for me. I hope this helps.

Did you update MFP with the new weight after 20 pounds with a new BMR, etc..? You should do this every 10 pounds.. Keep in mind you cannot exercise off a poor diet (or possibly eating too many calories)... So exercising more is not necessary unless you want to up your fitness..
The food scale is my next question? And are we talking about not loosing weight for at least 3 solid weeks or more?0 -
Here's my daily breakfast intake. I do adjust my new weight in Fitness pal.
My daily allowed calorie intake is 1220. I eat between 1300 to 1400 due to the fact that I work out on HIIT training such as kickboxing, circuit training, tar bo, or insanity work out follow by treadmill run of 2 level of incline and 4.3mph. I work out about 90 mins per day and six times a week. Then I drink my whey protein follow by size able portion of salad and protein. I feel that I may not be eating enough.... Or I'm working out too much?? It's been 2 wks of not dropping weight. I will get a food scale and see if I need accurate measurement of my food intake.

Not eating enough wouldn't hurt your weight loss. (Could hurt your health though!)
But if you aren't weighing, you may be eating more than you think. Those scoops of protein powder for example? 2 scoops might weigh more than 30 grams even though the packaging makes them equivalent. But the 30 grams is the important number. Food scales are pretty affordable and handy -- you'll get quick at using one, and I bet you'll like it, but even if you don't end up wanting to use it for everything, you will probably find it helpful to have.
Also? Two weeks is no big deal. I do think the food scale is a great idea. But that said, weight fluctuates ALL the time. And "no change" is a fluctuation of a sort. For example: In maintenance, I might gain ~ 3 lbs around my period. When I'm losing, my weight will often not change at all, or go up only 1 lb. And after, I lose like 3 lbs. That's because I'd lost weight but retained water, and it was evening out. So keep at it, everything may be progressing just fine.0
