Protein goal too high?

mfp set my protein goal at 115. I haven't eaten any where near that much since I started a week ago.
I have not started exercising beyond walking yet and my lifestyle is sedentary. Do I really need to eat so much protein? I haven't been hungry and have been under my calorie goal consistently (1500)

You don't need to hit a protein goal to lose weight - you just need to maintain a calorie deficit.
That said, eating a good amount of protein helps to minimize the loss of muscle you're bound to experience along with the fat. It's a good idea to try and get your protein in.0 -
Get protein in you for the satiety, keeps you fuller for longer.0

Try to get about 1.5g/kg of your goal weight. If your goal is 125, then eat about 84g of protein. I'm not sure your goal so that will depend. Don't worry about what your today weight is in terms of your goal, this will ensure you maintain based on your end result. If you want to gain muscle while you lose, then increase your intake up to 2g/kg0
