Help! Accurate Calorie Count? Android Step Count

Quick question to all the android MFP users, i am using the samsung step counter to calculate my exercise calories and i am worried they arent particularly accurate? My friend is using a step counter on her iphone and it seems to be calculating far fewer calories per 1000 steps than mine!
Anybody know which on is more accurate? Thank you in advance
