I'm currently tapering for a 10k run, but I'm finding it so hard!
I'm trying to stay active by getting in a good amount of walking, but I am itching to go for a longish run as I feel like I will lose my focus.
What do you guys do to stay sane while tapering??

since a 10k is only 6 miles i wouldnt think you would have to taper to much and as long as its not in the few days proceeding a race, go for a 4 miler or more.
this is assuming that (based on your bio that your not pushing to get to 6, you have run a half before)0 -
i should add just make that run a easy one, not race pace and dont push it, just enjoy0

I also have a 10km race coming up this Sunday. My last long run was Saturday and I've been running 3 to 4 miles every other day since but @ an easy pace ! Will be taking Saturday off so I'm fresh and rested Sunday :-)

for a 10k, a "taper" is not running for 2-3 days prior to the race. I only say that assuming you aren't a top tier runner (planning on a top 5 finish).0
