Just wondering if anyone had any tips on exercises to try to minimize/eliminate lower belly fat.

Thanks.

    DROP YOUR CALORIES!!!

I did that. Went from 1740 to 1200 and i eat back a small portion of what i burn from working out. Still looking for exercises that target that trouble area.

    You can't spot-reduce fat.

You can't. Fat will go from where it wants to, depending on your genetics. You just need to be patient. Eat at a moderate deficit, lift heavy weights, and give it time.

Exercise will only tighten and tone muscles, it does nothing for removing fat. Unfortunately, the belly is usually the last place it leaves.

Side note: 1200 cals a day is NOT moderate. Eat more to fuel badass workouts.

This not correct. Diet is key for losing weight, but exercise is crucial for determining how much of that weight is actual FAT lost, and not muscle. Exercise burns calories, which does remove fat.

    You can't spot reduce.
Cardio will burn calories, and leg lifts will strengthen your lower abdomen. Eating at a calorie deficit will make you lose weight everywhere. :)

It's mostly diet related. Planks, burpees, crunches, etc help. There's a ton of options on Pinterest
