Sync UP by Jawbone app with My Fitness Pal

About a week or so ago, my phone did an update and now my UP app won't connect with My Fitness Pal to show the exercise I do each day.... How can I fix this?!
I removed both apps and then re-downloaded them AND un-synced them from each other and tried to re-sync them, but MFP seems like it won't allow me to sync with UP unless I have one of their wristband things....which I don't have. But I didn't have this issue before.... Please help!!
